New location roadway from I-85 west of Gastonia in Gaston County to I-485/NC 160 near the Charlotte Douglas International Airport in Mecklenburg County.

Length
Approximately 21.5 to 23.7 miles depending on the route chosen.

Estimated Cost
Preliminary cost is estimated between $770 million to $1,650 million (January 2008 dollars). Final costs will be determined during design.

Existing I-85 or US 29/74 through Gaston and Mecklenburg Counties
